Introduction

LandCode, LLC ("LandCode," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop plugins, CanopyCode and SheetCode, and visit our website at https://landcode.co (collectively, the "Services").

ArborCode has its own privacy policy. ArborCode is a LandCode, LLC product, but it is a separate cloud web and mobile platform with its own app-store and Google API obligations, so its privacy policy is published on its own site at arborcode.app. If you use ArborCode, that policy governs the data the ArborCode app collects (including your account, tree data, photos, and location). This policy does not cover the ArborCode app.

By using our Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Purchase a license or subscription: name, email, company name, billing address
• Create an account: name, email, organization, and either a password (stored only in hashed form) or a "Sign in with Google" identity
• Contact us / request a demo or call: the information you include, plus scheduling details

1.2 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout and never reach our servers. We store only a Stripe customer/subscription identifier, not your card number. Stripe handles payment data under applicable security standards (including PCI-DSS).

1.3 License and Activation Data (Desktop Plugins)

When you activate CanopyCode or SheetCode, we collect a license key and activation status, a non-identifiable machine fingerprint (to enforce per-seat licensing), AutoCAD/Civil 3D version, product version, and activation timestamps. This is processed by Keygen, our license provider, solely for license validation and fraud prevention.

1.4 Usage Analytics and Error Reporting

• CanopyCode usage analytics (opt-in only): if you opt in, anonymous data (commands used, trees processed, performance metrics, versions, session duration) is processed by PostHog. We do NOT collect your identity, file names/paths, drawing content, tree data, or location as part of this. Disable anytime via CC_CONFIGURE → Import / Export → Usage Analytics.
• Website analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless service that measures aggregate page views, referrers, and performance, with no cookies, no cross-site tracking or fingerprinting, and no personal data collected.
• Desktop error/crash reporting: CanopyCode and SheetCode automatically send diagnostic reports (error message/stack trace, product + AutoCAD version, the command running, your license email, timestamp) to a private LandCode channel. These do NOT include drawing content, tree data, project files, file names/paths, location, or data you created.

1.5 Website Data (Automatic)

Log data (IP address, browser, OS, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps) and device information (type, resolution, language).

1.6 Scheduling and Calls

Calendly (scheduling details) and Zoom (call metadata and, per settings/consent, audio/video).

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Essential, analytics, and preference cookies. Third-party services that may set cookies or similar technologies include Google reCAPTCHA, Stripe, Calendly, and Cloudflare. Our website analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, is cookieless and does not track you across sites. Manage cookies via your browser settings; blocking some may affect functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the Services; process payments; communicate and provide support; improve our products and website; enforce our terms and prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or to train any AI models. The drawing content, tree data, and project files you work on in CanopyCode and SheetCode stay on your own machine; we do not collect or store them.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the Services:

We use encryption in transit and access controls. Account passwords are stored only as salted hashes (PBKDF2), never in plaintext. No system is completely secure.

We are not responsible for third-party sites. Our Services are operated from the United States; by using them you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. We may update this policy periodically; continued use constitutes acceptance.
