CanopyCode Version 1.0.15
v1.0.15, September 7, 2026
New: canopy square footage
- Import a canopy measurement from your survey and get a Canopy S.F. column with its own subtotal. Three South Florida municipalities size mitigation by canopy area, and West Palm Beach no longer uses DBH at all
- Two separate mapping choices, “Canopy Radius (trunk to edge)” and “Canopy Spread (full width)”, because reading one as the other is four times wrong. The mapping screen tells you how your column will be read before importing
- An Adj. Canopy S.F. column applies a per-group multiplier, so you can show the mitigation owed beside the raw area. Each group has its own multiplier and its own Apply to setting: removed trees, saved trees, or both
- Ten new site info lines for canopy and units totals, each switchable in CC_CONFIGURE
- Canopy measurements can be edited per tree in CC_EDIT_TREE_DATA, so one bad survey value can be fixed without re-importing
- Table headers now say what they count, for example “Adj. Canopy S.F. (Saved, x3)”, and stay silent when no single description fits every row
Bug Fixes
- Fixed loading a preset silently discarding your saved table column settings. Renamed headers, hidden columns and Total ticks were all replaced by the defaults. Your preset file was correct the whole time. This affects every version up to and including 1.0.14
- Fixed Restore Defaults and Load Preset both ignoring the “Show units for trees with no status set” switch
- Fixed the total row appearing to label the wrong numbers. Canopy totals now carry SF
- Fixed the site info reporting “Units Preserved: 0.00” for trees that had never been measured
- Fixed a message saying settings were saved to a file beside your drawing. Settings live in the drawing itself
Also in this release
- Every column that can be totalled now has its own Total tick, so Units and Adj. Units each carry their own subtotal
- INVASIVE is now its own label category, separate from DDH. A healthy but invasive tree used to carry the same tag as a dead one
- AutoCAD 2024 gets everything above. This release was tested in AutoCAD 2024 and Civil 3D 2026

CanopyCode Version 1.0.14
v1.0.14, August 21, 2026
Improvements
- Column mapping screen now opens on every CSV import, so you can check the match before importing (switch it off in CC_CONFIGURE, Data tab)
- Remembered column mappings now build up across files instead of replacing each other, with a button to clear them
- X Coordinate, Y Coordinate, Latitude and Longitude can now be mapped by hand
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an import failing when two trees share the same tag number. CanopyCode now shows you those rows and asks: skip them, or add a letter so each tag is unique (511 becomes 511A and 511B)
- Fixed CC_ANALYZE replacing freshly imported coordinates with older positions from the drawing
- Fixed CSV import failing on unrecognized column headers, 16 common surveyor names now map automatically
- Fixed on-screen instructions naming eight commands that no longer exist
- Fixed the import preview showing DBH changes that would not be saved
- Fixed the import “Next steps” list skipping a number
-
